MAC

Here is my 1958 MAC that I bought in 2020. I really like this bike but have since inherited two other classics and I don't have the time or space for three. I've probably done around 3,000 miles in that time, including a ride down to Somerset last year, from North Essex. It rides very well, as you would expect.

Otherwise very original, it has recently had two new tyres, a new carb (might not have needed it but runs even better now), indicators (easily removed if you don't like them), front brake skimmed and new linings, LED bulbs, and probably a few other items I have forgotten. VEry good wheels, no rust and polish up lovely.

The bad bits - the rear mudguard has some rust, I'm told it can be repaired for apx. £250 (as opposed to replaced) and it occasionally has a slight crunch into 3rd gear but is otherwise very smooth through the gears.

I paid top money back in 2020 and I know I won't get that back but I'd like to limit losses if possible and looking for as close to £4,500 as I can get.

MAC for Sale

1948 Iron MAC, converted to Swinging Arm back in the 1960's. Original gearbox fitted and the swinging arm looks to be of Ariel origin. It comes with new NJB rear shocks. Timing side open to allow fitting of a rebuilt BT-H magneto. It has a rev counter and extra cam oiling system added to old style timing cover. Modern side stand fitted and repainted headlight shell. Norton rear mudguard and Viper front guard. Standard handle bars fitted to Doughty forks, and Venom exhaust system. Interesting project with work still to do, but most parts to complete the build. It has been re registered with an "Age Related" registration and currently on SORN. Photos via WhatsApp. Bike located in Colchester.
